Additional Information

The hunting season begins in September. We regard October through December to be the optimum period for hunting. The rut begins in mid-November and lasts through December. Hunting is also possible in February in Tajikistan.

In Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan hunters may take the Mid-Asian ibex for an additional trophy fee. The average ibex trophy quality is between 42″ and 50″. Other trophies which may be taken during or in conjunction with hunts for Marco Polo sheep include: wild boar, feral yak and wolf in both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as Dybowski Sika deer and Afghan urial sheep in Tajikistan.
